My newly built studio space offers a stress-free environment to help you get the best out of studio recording sessions. An informal atmosphere combines with high-quality recording equipment and a superb piano, and there’s always time for a cup of tea and a break without feeling pressured…! The studio setting is ideal for demo tracks (with or without video) or even recording a full CD.  My newly-acquired Steinway piano is a joy to play and affords great sonority, depth, clarity and a huge palette of colours to inspire even the best professional pianist. (You can hear the Steinway on the track below: Where are the Songs We Sung?)

The 18′ x 18′ room has a high ceiling and a lovely acoustic, and is an inspiring space for other musical projects such as rehearsing, hosting workshops, or even an intimate concert.

Below are examples of the versatile mixture of music that has been recorded in my old studio (with me at the piano unless otherwise stated). Thanks so much to everyone who features here! I will be updating the media below soon to include some new footage form the new space.

Transatlantic Cabaret! (highlights)

Bass-baritone Thomas Barnard and pianist Christopher Gould present an evening of cabaret from both sides of the Atlantic for those of sophisticated tastes. You will be entertained (and even possibly slightly offended) with songs by Flanders & Swann and Tom Lehrer, plus the occasional ditty from Noel Coward and co. We will regale you with a veritable menagerie of melodious misadventures and literary lyrics.
